Publishing forms on pages

Forms RB allows you to publish forms on your website without embedding shortcodes or blocks directly into page content. Forms are displayed using a floating action button that opens the form in a dialog window.

This article explains how to publish a form and how visitors interact with it on the frontend.

How form publishing works

Forms RB uses a floating button approach to display forms on pages and posts.

Once a form is configured and saved:

  • A floating button appears on selected pages
  • Visitors can open the form in a modal dialog
  • The page content remains unchanged and visible in the background

This ensures a clean integration without affecting page layout.

Enabling the floating form button

To publish a form:

  1. Open your form in RB Forms
  2. Go to Options → Main
  3. Enable the Floating Button option
  4. Save the form

After saving, the form becomes available on the frontend.

Frontend behavior

When the floating button is enabled:

  • The button is displayed in a fixed position on the page
  • Clicking the button opens the form dialog
  • The dialog shows the form title, description, fields, and action buttons
  • Users can close the dialog without leaving the page

This interaction works consistently across desktop, tablet, and mobile devices.

Form dialog content

The dialog includes:

  • Dialog title (configured in the Dialog settings)
  • Dialog description
  • Enabled form fields
  • Submit and Close buttons

All dialog texts and labels can be customized to match your website’s tone and language.

Publishing across different pages

Forms RB does not require individual page configuration.

Once enabled:

  • The floating form button can appear on posts and pages
  • The same form dialog is reused consistently
  • Submissions are always linked to the same form

This makes it easy to collect messages site-wide using a single form.

User experience considerations

Best practices when publishing forms:

  • Use clear button labels (for example: Contact us, Send message)
  • Keep forms short and focused
  • Avoid enabling too many fields
  • Test the form on mobile devices

What happens after submission

After a visitor submits the form:

  • The dialog closes or resets (depending on configuration)
  • The submission is saved immediately
  • Records appear inside the form’s Records section in the admin panel

No additional configuration is required to start collecting submissions.
